ARCA has ambitious growth plans for our Health Digital Consulting practice and the Bid Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the on-going success of the business. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Bid Manager to join ARCA’s Digital Healthcare Consulting Practice on a permanent basis, specialising in delivering best-in-class digital transformation Professional Services bids for NHS projects such as Electronic Patient Record (EPR) or Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) implementations. Reporting to the Digital Health Director&Co-Founder, David Wylie and alongside our Digital Health Consulting Partner, Lisa Waller, the Bid Manager will lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compelling, and competitive proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a collaborative and creative mindset, and a deep understanding of healthcare consultancy and NHS procurement processes. Key Responsibilities: Bid Management: Own and manage the entire bid lifecycle, from initial opportunity qualification to submission and post-tender reviews. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of bid responses. Oversee bid planning, writing, and production to meet strict NHS deadlines and compliance standards. Identify and track relevant government/NHS frameworks Proposal Development: Develop clear, compelling, and tailored proposals aligned with the NHS's digital transformation needs and priorities. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather input and ensure the technical and commercial accuracy of submissions. Create and maintain a library of reusable content, case studies, and templates for efficient bid preparation. Client and Market Engagement: Build strong relationships with NHS clients and ARCA’s partners to gain insights into their strategic goals and procurement processes. Analyse and interpret tender documents, frameworks, and scoring criteria to align bids with client expectations. Monitor and identify new business opportunities, frameworks, and procurement portals relevant to digital healthcare. Governance and Compliance: Ensure all bids adhere to NHS and internal governance requirements, including frameworks such as G-Cloud, Non-Clinical Staffing, MCF4 or other public-sector procurement regulations. Lead internal reviews, risk assessments, and sign-off processes. Continuous Improvement: Conduct debriefs and lessons-learned exercises to improve future bid quality and processes. Stay up-to-date with trends in digital healthcare and NHS policy to enhance the relevance of bids. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience managing bids in a consultancy environment, ideally within digital healthcare or public sector projects. In-depth knowledge of NHS procurement processes, frameworks. Exceptional project management and organisational skills with a track record of meeting tight deadlines. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. High attention to detail with the ability to write clear, persuasive, and client-focused proposals. Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, bid management software, and CRM systems. Location: Hybrid working with occasional travel to client sites and company offices as required.
