Provides expert technical advice in an advisory capacity across multiple clients, sectors and geographies.Contributes into the strategy development, develops plans and oversees the delivery and execution. You’ll be responsible for:Influencing and developing the technical offering to meet client need, creating products to achieve efficiency.Leading a team of subject matter experts, assuring service quality and implementing systema performance improvement.Leading the professional development and progression of team members.Bringing industry best practice and/or develop thought leadership around your area of technical expertise, fulfilling the role of subject matter expert across Mace.Working collaboratively with other technical experts and hub leads to offer a joined-up end to end service to the client.You’ll need to have:Master's degree or equivalent level of postgraduate or technical study or equivalent).Detailed technical/industry analysis of subject matter expertise at a either sector/capability level.Experience of leading all components of project and programme management and delivery (policy, strategy, client environment) related to property or infrastructureConsidered a subject matter expert in one or more specialist capabilities e.g. financial modelling, governance, transformation, planning, business case etcAbility to apply cross sector thinking.In depth experience and/or understanding of the role of an advisory service and how it adds value to programme and project delivery.Ability to generate options or solutions to new and existing complex issues.In depth experience of stakeholder management on complex and controversial programmes and/or projects in an unstable environment.Ability to prioritise competing demandsAbility to manage conflict gaining positive outcomes for the client and team.Advanced presentation and report writing skills reflecting the credibility of a subject matter expert.Ability to manage teams in uncertain environments on multiple short-term commissions.Mobilise a project team, clearly delegating and managing all tasks and responsibilities.Lead a project or programme from bidding through to close, achieving all milestones.Business development skills - ability to secure work packages from new and existing clients.Line management experience of 2 or more team members.Ability to work part of a multi-professional team and communicate key messages to the team and client. Chartership or membership of a professional body, alumni or like keep abreast of emerging strategy, policy and directionMaintains strong external professional network, identifying and brokering future opportunitiesAbility to apply logical thinking and creative solutions. You’ll also have:Established global mindset.Developed internal or external thought leadership around specialist area of expertise.Evidence of presenting at conferences or events or other development activities to build a wider network of contacts.Previous leadership experience.Coaching skills.As a result of your position as an industry expert you will have a network of potential clients and be adept at managing stakeholders across different industries. You will work with our other service lines, sectors and global hubs to identify opportunities to offer construction and productivity advice to new and existing clients.A flexible, team player you will bring a wealth of other skills across consultancy and align with the Mace values and behaviours. We’re looking for creative collaborators who generate good ideas as well as exceptional work. The nature of our work means you may be working on multiple commissions at the same time and have a fast turnover of short to medium term projects so you will feel comfortable adapting to different subject matter and environments.
