Are you experienced in build-to-rent or single-family residential markets and have experience in acquiring new development opportunities for such developments One of the Uk’s fastest-growing and most exciting btr developers is looking to strengthen its senior management team with a director of acquisition. You will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring development opportunities while also overseeing the whole acquisition team. You will have detailed experience acquiring S106 deals and a background developing partnership residential developments with national house builders or leading housing associations. You will report directly to the managing director and run a team of 7. You will be responsible for setting the strategy and then delivering upon ambitious acquisition targets. You will come from a house building and housing association background and have operated at regional or mainboard level, whilst till being involved in acquiring S106 development opportunities. You will have a minimum of 8 years of experience and have a portable book of contacts at the leading house builders and housing associations across the UK. First and foremost, you will be a transaction expert but you will also be an innovative leader who prides themselves of developing not only your own skills but also your team and peer group. Key responsibilities Overseeing the acquisition team for the whole of UK Developing relationships with leading house builders and housing associations Managing the strategy around the acquisition and S106 developments Reporting to the group board and making sure the acquisitions team is aligned with wider group strategy, goals and values Managing S106 agreements with house builders Key experiences Degree qualified and ideal MBA or masters 8 years experience in the house building or housing association sector Detailed transactional experience around S106 partnership deals Expert in acquiring and transacting on new development opportunities Experience in running and developing a team
